Sheboygan Falls Drive-By Shooting Leaves Canadian Father Dead; Suspect Arrested

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. — A man is under arrest after a drive-by shooting in Sheboygan Falls left a Canadian father dead, police announced Friday.
Victim Identified
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Mike Robinson, who family members said was visiting Wisconsin from Canada for a golf tournament.
Robinson, described as a husband and father of a 5-week-old baby, had been celebrating with relatives ahead of his sister’s wedding scheduled for next week. That wedding has now been canceled, and funeral plans are underway instead.
Shooting on Monroe Street
The shooting happened early Wednesday morning on Monroe Street. Family members told FOX6 that Robinson and his group had been leaving a bar when they asked a delivery driver for a ride.
Security footage reportedly shows the group walking away, but what appeared to be the same car circled back before shots were fired.
Police have not confirmed that detail but said they do not believe Robinson and the suspect knew each other.
Arrest Made
On Friday, multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant on Kroos Court in Sheboygan as part of the investigation.
As a result, 35-year-old Luis Cruz Burgos was arrested on suspicion of first-degree reckless homicide. He is being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center.
Family Seeks Justice
Robinson’s brother, Jacob Robinson, shared his heartbreak in an interview:
“There’s no words. There’s no words. My brother was taken unexpectedly from us, and I just want justice and his name to be known.”
Jacob added that Mike had scored a hole-in-one less than 24 hours before he was killed, making the loss even more painful for his loved ones.
Support for the Family
A GoFundMe account has been created to help the Robinson family with expenses as they plan to return Mike’s body to Canada for burial.
The fundraiser has become a central way for the community and supporters to show solidarity with the grieving family.
This tragedy has left both Wisconsin and Canadian communities shaken, as Robinson’s loved ones mourn the sudden loss of a young father and demand accountability.
