Officials said Gregory Ford was identified as a suspect after federal agents discovered a second victim in Murray while investigating his prior sexual assault case involving a juvenile in Florida.

On November 11, the FBI contacted Murray Police after uncovering evidence linking Ford to a separate assault that occurred in Murray in 2024. Local detectives launched an independent investigation, ultimately accusing Ford of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy.
