Wisconsin Drug Task Force Seizes Over 300 Grams of Narcotics After Multiple K-9 Deployments in Manitowoc County

MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wisconsin — A coordinated drug interdiction operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies led to the seizure of more than 300 grams of illegal narcotics, several weapons, and drug paraphernalia across Manitowoc County, according to details released by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.

Multi-Agency Task Force Targets Drug Trafficking Activity

Authorities said the proactive mission included the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, the Manitowoc Police Department, the Two Rivers Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The goal: disrupt drug trafficking routes and stop dangerous substances from circulating in the community.

The operation featured four K-9 team deployments and 18 traffic stops, each contributing to the growing case against suspected distributors. According to the release shared by WFRV, officers reported significant findings during these stops, including both narcotics and weapons.

Large Quantities of Drugs and Weapons Recovered

Over the course of the operation, law enforcement recovered a wide range of illegal substances, including:

  • 185.32 grams of methamphetamine
  • 34.28 grams of cocaine
  • 71.98 grams of THC
  • 24.64 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
  • 2.32 grams of heroin

They also seized four firearms, one knife, 111 rounds of ammunition, and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Officers noted that one of the traffic stops led to a search warrant in Two Rivers, though the release did not confirm whether additional items were discovered during that search.

Sheriff Praises Unified Law Enforcement Effort

Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig credited the success of the mission to strong collaboration among agencies.
In the statement reported by WFRV, he said:

“This interdiction effort demonstrates the strong collaboration between local and state law enforcement agencies. Our shared commitment to proactive drug enforcement continues to improve public safety and protect the residents of Manitowoc County.”

The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that the operation is part of an ongoing push to prevent dangerous drugs and weapons from harming local neighborhoods.
