Wisconsin Man Accused of Sending Nude Photos to Minor and Enticing Child for Sex, Police Say
POLK COUNTY, WISCONSIN — A 33-year-old man from Luck, Wisconsin has been charged with child enticement and exposing a child to harmful materials, following a law enforcement investigation that revealed he allegedly sent nude photos to a juvenile and attempted to meet the minor with sexual intent.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Polk County Circuit Court, the suspect, Brandon Skow, admitted to communicating with a person under the age of 18, sending explicit images, and attempting to lure the child to a private location.
Investigation Uncovers Explicit Communication
Police began investigating Skow after receiving reports that an adult male was engaging in inappropriate communication with a juvenile. The messages allegedly included sexually explicit content and images sent via digital platforms.
Detectives said they were able to trace the messages back to Skow, who later confessed during questioning that he sent the nude photos and knew the recipient was underage.
Court documents indicate that Skow also admitted to making arrangements to meet the juvenile in a secluded location, which authorities say constitutes child enticement with intent to commit a sexual act.
Charges Filed in Polk County Court
Skow now faces two felony charges:
- Child Enticement (Sexual Contact Intent)
- Exposing a Child to Harmful Material
Each offense carries severe penalties under Wisconsin law, including potential prison time and permanent registration as a sex offender if convicted.
Officials said Skow is currently awaiting his initial court appearance. His bond conditions are expected to include restrictions on contact with minors and limitations on internet access.
Law Enforcement Response
Polk County Sheriff’s officials have not yet released additional details about how Skow came into contact with the victim but confirmed that the case remains active as investigators review digital evidence.
Authorities have urged parents to remain vigilant about their children’s online activity and to report any suspicious or explicit communications involving minors immediately.
“Online exploitation remains one of the fastest-growing crimes affecting Wisconsin children,” a local law enforcement spokesperson said. “This case serves as a reminder that predators often disguise their intent behind digital screens.”
Community and Safety Reminder
With an increasing number of child enticement and online exploitation cases reported statewide, child safety advocates are encouraging parents to monitor social media interactions and educate children about online boundaries.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice recommends families use parental control software and report suspicious messages directly to law enforcement or through the CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
