Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Chicago’s West Side

CHICAGO — A 58-year-old woman is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash Monday night on Chicago’s West Side, police confirmed.

The collision occurred in the 500 block of North Pulaski Road, where the woman was walking on the side of the street when a vehicle traveling southbound hit her and fled the scene.

Victim Suffers Multiple Injuries

According to the Chicago Police Department, the victim sustained trauma throughout the body as a result of the crash. She was quickly transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Police have not released details about the make or model of the vehicle involved, nor have they shared any potential surveillance footage that could lead to the driver.

No Arrests Made Yet, Investigation Ongoing

As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made. Area Four detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police.
