EFG London Jazz Festival Expands 2025 Lineup With Global Music Collaborations and Rare UK Performances

LONDON, UK — The EFG London Jazz Festival has unveiled a wave of new artists for its November 14–23, 2025 program, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most adventurous and globally connected events on the international jazz calendar.

Global Music Weekend With Aga Khan Music Programme

A highlight of the announcements is the Global Music weekend, presented in partnership with the Aga Khan Music Programme.

  • Aga Khan Music Awards ConcertNov. 22, Queen Elizabeth Hall — Celebrating exceptional musical creativity rooted in cultural heritage, marking the concert’s UK debut.
  • Soumik DattaNov. 23, Purcell Room — The sarod virtuoso and multimedia artist, and previous Aga Khan Award winner, blends tradition and innovation in a matinee performance.

Rare and Sold-Out Performances

  • Tortoise — Post-rock pioneers return for their first UK appearance in years at the Barbican on Nov. 22. A matinee show has been added after the evening performance sold out.
  • Idrisi Ensemble — Nov. 16 at Union Chapel, bringing Sufi, Andalusian, and contemporary influences after a sold-out KOKO performance earlier this year.

International Debuts and Special Collaborations

  • L’Antidote Trio — UK debut Nov. 15 at Kings Place Hall 2, featuring Iranian percussionist Bijan Chemirani, Lebanese pianist Rami Khalifé, and Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, ahead of their September debut album release.
  • Nate Smith + KINFOLK — Nov. 16 at KOKO, the GRAMMY-nominated drummer and composer makes a rare UK appearance.
  • Melbourne International Jazz Festival Collaboration — Nov. 15 at the Barbican with details coming in September.
  • The Great Reset — Nov. 16 at Vortex Jazz Club, an electroacoustic world-premiere featuring Sunny Kim, Joanna Duda, and Helen Svoboda, co-commissioned with Poland’s Jazztopad Festival.

More to Come

The final lineup, including the Jazz Voice opening gala guests, support acts, freestage events, and pop-up performances, will be announced in September.
