Madison Police Seek Suspects After 19-Year-Old Shot on Near East Side

MADISON, WI — Police are investigating an attempted homicide after a 19-year-old man was shot during an argument on the city’s near east side Friday afternoon.

According to the Madison Police Department (MPD), officers responded around 4:10 p.m. Friday after the victim sought treatment for a gunshot wound at a UW Health clinic.
Investigators determined the victim and suspects had met near the 2100 block of East Main Street, where an argument escalated into gunfire. The teen was struck but managed to get medical attention.
Suspects at Large
As of now, the suspects remain at large. Police confirmed they are still gathering information and searching the area for leads.
