LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 22-year-old Louisville man who has been missing since Halloween, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).

Officials say Omari Aweys was last seen around 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the 3000 block of Ralph Avenue. His family has reported him missing and is deeply concerned for his safety.

Family and Police Concerned for Missing Man

Aweys is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 210 pounds. Police have not released details about the clothing he was last seen wearing.

Authorities believe he may be driving a gray 2012 Honda Accord with Kentucky license plate AHY255.

“We’re asking anyone who may have seen Omari or his vehicle to contact us immediately,” police said in a statement.

Public Urged to Report Any Sightings

LMPD urges anyone with information about Aweys’ whereabouts to call 911 or reach the department’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).

The case remains active and under investigation as police continue to canvass the area and review surveillance footage from nearby locations.

Community Joins Search Effort

Family members have taken to social media to share photos of Aweys and appeal for public help. Louisville residents are encouraged to remain alert for sightings of him or the vehicle described.

As of early Monday, no foul play has been reported, but officials say all possibilities are being considered until Aweys is located safely.
