Publix Opens Two New Florida Stores This Weekend, Adds Free Sample Event Next Month

FLORIDA — Grocery giant Publix is celebrating the grand opening of two new stores in the Sunshine State this Saturday, July 20, with special amenities and community-friendly features.
Port St. Lucie Store: A Spacious New Layout
The first new Publix will open its doors at 12407 SW Community Blvd. in Port St. Lucie. This 48,000-square-foot location includes an upstairs area with both indoor and outdoor seating — a rare and welcome addition for shoppers looking to relax with a snack or drink.
Publix spokesperson Lindsey Willis noted that guests may even spot the company’s motorized shopping cart rolling through the neighborhood to build excitement for opening day.
“The shopping cart is another way Publix is celebrating the company’s new location with the community and driving awareness for customer convenience,” Willis told ClickOrlando.
Bradenton Store Features Drive-Thru Pharmacy
On the opposite side of the state, the second store opens Saturday at the Bayshore Gardens Shopping Center in Bradenton — specifically, 6030 14th Street W. This location spans nearly 55,000 square feet and will offer a drive-thru pharmacy for extra customer convenience.
Free Sample Event Scheduled for August 16
Beyond this weekend’s excitement, Publix has another treat in store for customers across Florida next month. On Saturday, August 16, Publix stores statewide will host a free sample event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Shoppers can enjoy samples across multiple departments:
- Bakery: Iced Cinnamon Swirl Cake
- Deli: Korean-Style Noodle Salad
- Grocery: Lactose-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Ice Cream & Peanut Butter Fudge Cookies
- Meat: Italian-Style Marinated Chicken Breast Cutlets
- Produce: Sweet Heat Summer Fruit Salad
This promotion is designed to let customers explore new flavors while discovering their local Publix store’s offerings.
