Northeast Wisconsin Weather Alert: Dense Fog Advisory in Effect Through Monday Morning

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Commuters across Northeast Wisconsin should prepare for a challenging start to the week, as the National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 8 a.m. Monday.
Areas Impacted
The advisory covers Brown, Outagamie, Door, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, Marinette, Oconto, Florence, and Kewaunee counties.
Visibility may drop to a quarter mile or less, especially along U.S. 41, I-43, and state highways connecting Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Sturgeon Bay.
Driving Hazards
Officials are urging drivers to:
- Slow down and allow extra travel time
- Use low-beam headlights instead of high beams
- Leave extra space between vehicles
The fog could cause delays for school buses, delivery routes, and morning commuters, particularly in rural and lakeshore areas where conditions may take longer to improve.
When It Clears
Forecasters say the fog should gradually lift by mid-morning as sunlight breaks through, though patches may linger in valleys and near Lake Michigan.
If visibility does not improve after sunrise, additional advisories could be issued.
With dense fog blanketing much of Northeast Wisconsin, drivers are urged to plan ahead and exercise caution during the morning commute. For more local weather alerts and forecast updates, follow ChicagoMusicGuide.com.
