Southern Colorado Weather Alert: Spotty Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Tuesday Before Warm, Dry Stretch

PUEBLO, Colorado — Southern Colorado residents can expect a mix of sunshine, above-normal temperatures, and spotty showers today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pueblo.

Showers and Storms Possible

Forecasters say highs Tuesday will climb into the upper 70s to mid-80s across the plains, while the mountain regions will stay cooler, in the 60s and 70s.

Scattered showers and weak thunderstorms remain possible this evening, especially across the Palmer Divide, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and portions of the high country.

Warm, Dry Trend Through Friday

A warming and drying pattern is expected to set in through the rest of the workweek. Communities including Pueblo, La Junta, and Lamar will see consistent highs in the low to mid-80s, while mountain towns such as Leadville and Buena Vista hold steady with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s.

Cooler, Wetter Weekend Ahead

The weather pattern will shift by Saturday, October 4, when cooler and wetter conditions return. Showers and storms may affect higher elevations and travel routes, so residents planning outdoor activities should stay tuned for updated forecasts.
