Fond du Lac Day Care Worker Arrested After 3-Month-Old Infant Suffers Fractured Arm

FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN — Police have arrested a 32-year-old day care worker after a 3-month-old baby girl was hospitalized with a fractured arm, prompting an investigation by local and state authorities.

According to Fond du Lac Police Chief Aaron Goldstein, detectives were called to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee on October 13, after doctors determined the infant’s injuries were consistent with trauma.

The baby’s parents had reportedly picked her up early from day care and noticed something was wrong. After being taken to a local hospital in Fond du Lac, she was referred to Children’s Hospital for specialized care, where medical staff confirmed the fracture.

Investigation and Arrest

Police said the case involved multiple interviews and an extensive review of surveillance footage from the day care facility.

Following the weeklong investigation, detectives arrested a 32-year-old employee on October 20 for suspected involvement in the infant’s injury.

Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name, as formal charges have not been filed. Once a criminal complaint is submitted to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office, more details are expected to be made public.
