LA Man Arrested for Sexual Assault After Claiming To Be Famous R&B Singer, Police Say
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — A Los Angeles man accused of posing as a famous R&B singer to meet women online has been arrested on multiple sexual assault charges, according to police.
The suspect, 33-year-old Davionne Jackson, was taken into custody on October 10 in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, after investigators linked him to outstanding sexual assault warrants in California. He has since been extradited back to Los Angeles, where detectives are continuing their investigation.
Police Say Suspect Posed as R&B Star
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Jackson used his alleged music persona to lure women online, presenting himself as a well-known R&B artist before assaulting them.
“Detectives believe there are additional unidentified victims,” LAPD said in a public statement. Authorities are now encouraging others who may have encountered Jackson to come forward.
Police have not disclosed which specific artist Jackson claimed to be but confirmed that the impersonation was central to his pattern of targeting women through social media and dating apps.

The LAPD’s Operations-Central Bureau Family Justice Center is leading the investigation, with detectives actively reaching out to potential victims.
