COVINGTON, Ky. — Police are investigating after a man arrived at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Covington early Friday morning with injuries from an apparent assault.

Victim Arrives at Hospital

According to officials, the man self-transported to the hospital around 12:30 a.m. Friday. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further treatment. His current condition has not been released.

The entrance to St. Elizabeth was blocked off for several hours overnight as detectives examined the scene and collected evidence. Despite the police activity, the hospital remained open and accessible to patients and visitors.
