Body Recovered After Man Falls Into Wisconsin River in Wisconsin Dells
WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — A death investigation is underway after a man fell into the Wisconsin River late Wednesday night and his body was recovered early Thursday morning.
Incident Near Broadway Avenue
According to the Wisconsin Dells Police Department, crews were called to the 29 Broadway Avenue area at around 11:47 p.m. Wednesday following reports that a man had fallen over a railing into the river.
The Kilbourn Fire Department launched a rescue boat and located the man’s body about 1:20 a.m. Thursday.
No Foul Play Suspected
Investigators said they do not suspect foul play at this time. The conclusion is based on witness statements and surveillance video from the area.
The man’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
