Kentucky and Indiana Seek New Company to Handle RiverLink Customer Service

LOUISVILLE, KY — Kentucky and Indiana officials have announced plans to replace the company currently responsible for RiverLink’s customer service operations, which handle tolling for three major Ohio River bridges.
Current Provider to Be Replaced
On Monday, both states agreed to seek a new provider to take over from Electronic Transaction Consultants (ETC).
The company currently manages:
- Two walk-up centers in downtown Louisville and Jeffersonville
- The call center for customer inquiries
- Responsibilities such as invoicing and image review for tolling accounts
Bridges Covered by RiverLink
RiverLink tolls are charged on three key crossings:
- The Kennedy Bridge (I-65 downtown Louisville)
- The Lincoln Bridge (I-65 downtown Louisville)
- The Lewis and Clark Bridge (eastern Louisville, near Prospect)
These bridges connect Kentucky and Indiana, making RiverLink the central system for managing traffic and tolling across the Ohio River in the region.
Next Steps
State officials did not immediately release details on when a new provider would be selected or what changes customers might expect once the transition is complete.
For now, RiverLink accounts and tolls remain active under the current system, with updates to be shared as the states finalize their new contract.
RiverLink continues to play a critical role in managing cross-river traffic between Kentucky and Indiana, and officials say they are working to ensure seamless customer service during the transition.
