MIAMI, FL — A 49-year-old Miami woman is facing multiple felony charges after police say she attacked her boyfriend with a machete inside her apartment, following a heated fight at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant on Thursday night.
Fight Over Cellphone Photos Sparks Violence After Dinner
According to an arrest report reviewed by Law&Crime, Liz Frechel and her boyfriend had been eating at Texas Roadhouse when he allegedly saw photos on her phone showing her hugging another man and holding hands with him.
The boyfriend immediately stormed out of the restaurant and later returned to Frechel’s apartment to drop off her belongings. Police say he intended to leave her items outside on an air conditioning unit — but realized moments later that his car keys were mixed in with them.
When he went back to retrieve the keys, Frechel had already brought everything inside.

According to investigators, the boyfriend tried to enter to retrieve his keys. Frechel attempted to block the door but he eventually made it into her bedroom, where his keys were sitting on the bed.
Police say Frechel then locked him in the bedroom, telling him:
“You are not going anywhere, you son of a b—. You’re going to pay.”
She allegedly walked to her closet, grabbed a machete, and lunged at him.
The report states she swiped the machete across his right elbow, causing a deep cut, while yelling:
“I’m going to kill you, you son of a b—!”
Terrified, the boyfriend ran from the apartment, escaped to his vehicle, and drove himself to the hospital.
Doctors treated him for a serious laceration on his elbow.
