Montana Woman Captures String of Brazen Thefts at Walmart Tire Center While Waiting for Her Car

BILLINGS, MONTANA — What started as a routine tire replacement appointment turned into a wild TikTok moment when a Montana woman allegedly witnessed multiple customers stealing from a Walmart tire center, capturing the bizarre series of events on video while she waited.

The woman, who said she was sitting in the store’s “square building” auto center away from the main entrance, narrated what she saw as one customer after another casually — and then not so casually — walked out with unpaid merchandise.

‘She Just Walked Out Like Nothing Happened’

In her video, the woman describes how she first saw a lady ride up on a motorized shopping scooter, park it near the door, and then “just get up, no problems walking whatsoever, and walk right out to her vehicle.”

Moments later, two younger girls appeared with a shopping cart “full of boxed DVDs and games,” she said. They didn’t have any bags or receipts — and began speed-walking toward the exit before breaking into a run once they made it outside.

“They just ran to their cars like it was nothing,” the woman narrated in disbelief.

The Real Shock: Another Customer Joins the Chaos

Just when the woman thought the thefts were over, a third customer — who had been wandering around the tire center as if searching for an employee — suddenly grabbed a cart full of groceries and bolted.

“She knew I was filming,” the woman said, laughing in shock. “There’s no way she didn’t know. She walked back here three times like she was looking for someone, and then just ran out with a full shopping cart. Are you kidding me?”

The TikTok video, which quickly gained thousands of views, showed the woman’s stunned reaction as theft after theft unfolded right in front of her eyes.

Online Reactions: ‘I Didn’t See Nothing’

Viewers flooded the comment section with a mix of humor and disbelief. Some users couldn’t help but laugh at the irony that the last thief seemed to be acting out the narrator’s earlier description almost word for word.

“Lmao 🤣 she just role-played your whole story!” one commenter joked.

Another user quipped, “I didn’t see nothing,” echoing the sentiment that it’s safer to look the other way.

Others were more serious, pointing out how security seemed lax at this Walmart location.

“Our tire center has a locked door — you can’t even leave unless they buzz you out,” one person wrote.

Another added, “There’s literally a camera at eye level capturing their faces. Walmart just waits until it’s grand larceny before pressing charges.”

Theft Concerns Grow at Retailers Nationwide

While Walmart has not commented on the specific Montana incident, retail theft has become a growing issue nationwide, with major chains reporting millions in losses and implementing new security measures.

For now, the viral clip from the Montana Walmart tire center has sparked both laughter and frustration online — and raised fresh questions about how such blatant thefts continue to occur in broad daylight.
