LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park (PRP) neighborhood, marking another tragic case of youth gun violence under investigation by Louisville Metro Police.

Authorities said officers responded to a report of a shooting around 3 a.m. in the 4100 block of Flintlock Drive, where they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers Rendered Aid, but Teen Pronounced Dead at Scene

Responding officers provided first aid until Louisville EMS and PRP Fire Department crews arrived. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after emergency responders reached the scene.

Police believe the victim to be 17 years old, though his identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
