Man Gunned Down Outside Louisville Home in Quiet Beechmont Neighborhood: Police Say No Suspect or Motive Identified Yet
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — A man was shot and killed Saturday night in Louisville’s Beechmont neighborhood, marking yet another fatal shooting under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
Officers responded around 9:20 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of West Kingston Avenue, where they found a man lying outside with gunshot wounds, according to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
Victim Pronounced Dead After Being Taken to UofL Hospital
Police said officers immediately rendered aid at the scene until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members.
Homicide Unit Leading Investigation
The LMPD Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and spent the night processing the crime scene and canvassing the area for witnesses or surveillance footage.
At this time, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. Police have not disclosed a potential motive for the shooting or whether the victim and suspect may have known each other.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or possesses security camera footage from the neighborhood to come forward.
