Wisconsin DOJ Identifies Homicide Suspect Killed by Police After Marinette County Chase

TOWN OF PESHTIGO, WISCONSIN — Authorities have identified the man killed by police after a chase in Marinette County as Andrew Lloyd Collamore, 23, the suspect accused of murdering a 70-year-old Mazomanie man in late August.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Collamore died at a hospital on August 29 following a confrontation with law enforcement.

Connection to Mazomanie Homicide

The case stems from the homicide of Thomas Muckler, who was found dead at a home on Dunlap Hollow Road in Mazomanie late on August 28.

Investigators said Collamore had stolen Muckler’s vehicle, which police later located in Marinette. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but Collamore refused to pull over, sparking a high-speed chase along U.S. Highway 41.

Standoff and Shooting

The pursuit ended when Collamore crashed the vehicle near Schacht Road. He then exited the car and approached officers.

Officials said a Marinette County Sheriff’s deputy deployed a taser, but it was ineffective. Two Marinette police officers — Parker De Los Santos (seven years of service) and Andrew Bonjean (19 years of service) — then fired their weapons, striking Collamore.

A sharp-edged weapon was recovered at the scene.

Collamore was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Investigation and Oversight

The DOJ confirmed that both Marinette officers were wearing active in-car squad cameras, and one officer also had a body camera during the incident.

Per policy, both officers have been placed on administrative duty while the DCI investigates. Once complete, investigative reports will be turned over to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.

Sheriff’s Statement

Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said Collamore had broken into Muckler’s home before killing him, and investigators found no evidence the two men knew each other beforehand.

Officials emphasized that no officers were injured during the standoff.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue piecing together Collamore’s actions leading up to the homicide and police confrontation. For more updates on Wisconsin crime and public safety, follow ChicagoMusicGuide.com.
