Louisville Man Killed in Beechmont Neighborhood Shooting, Police Searching for Suspect

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — A man has died following a Saturday night shooting in Louisville’s Beechmont neighborhood, and police are now searching for whoever is responsible, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).

Officers were called around 9:20 p.m. to the 300 block of Kingston Avenue after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Victim Pronounced Dead After Being Taken to Hospital

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries. Police have not yet released the man’s name pending family notification.

The LMPD Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation as detectives work to determine what led to the deadly encounter.

“This investigation is ongoing, and we are asking anyone with information to come forward,” LMPD officials said in a statement.

No Suspects Identified Yet

As of Sunday, no suspects have been identified or arrested. Detectives are reviewing nearby surveillance footage and speaking with residents in the area for potential leads.
