St. Louis Police Searching for 2 Women After Grocery Store Theft, Employee Threatened With Hatchet

ST. LOUIS, Missouri — The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) is searching for two women accused of stealing food from a grocery store in the Tower Grove East neighborhood and threatening an employee with a hatchet before fleeing.
Theft Turns Violent Outside Store
Police said the incident happened on September 22 in the 2700 block of South Grand Boulevard. When an employee confronted the women outside the store, one suspect allegedly pulled out a silver hatchet and threatened to cut the worker.
The suspects then fled the scene in a dark blue Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck with Missouri license plate 94H-1KS, officials said.
Suspects Considered Armed and Dangerous
Authorities described the first suspect as a white female, around 30–35 years old, 5’4” to 5’5” tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with blonde hair and tattoos on her left chest, left bicep, left hand, wrist, and right hand.
The second suspect is also described as a white female, about the same height, 30–35 years old, weighing 180–200 pounds, with brown hair.
Police warn the first suspect should be considered armed and dangerous due to the weapon displayed during the crime.

SLMPD is urging anyone with information about the theft to call Crime Stoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
