Louisville Fugitive Accused of Trafficking Minors and Drugs Arrested After Multi-Agency Investigation in Bullitt County
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — A 46-year-old Louisville man wanted on human trafficking, rape, and drug trafficking charges was arrested this week after a multi-agency operation led by the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office, authorities confirmed.
Detectives took Gerald “Jerry” Hodges into custody on October 23 with assistance from the Louisville Metro Police Fugitive Unit, following an ongoing investigation that began earlier this year.
Suspect Accused of Trafficking Minors and Selling Drugs
According to the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office, the charges against Hodges stem from crimes dating back to May 2025, when investigators uncovered evidence of child trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Hodges faces multiple felony counts, including:
- Two counts of Human Trafficking Victims Under 18
- Two counts of Rape (Third Degree)
- Two counts of Sodomy of Victims Under 18
- One count of Trafficking in Marijuana (Enhanced)
Officials allege that Hodges trafficked minors and sold drugs across Bullitt and Jefferson counties, operating as part of a larger illegal network. Detectives say the investigation revealed “disturbing patterns of exploitation” involving minors.
Held on $100,000 Bond Pending Court Hearing
After his arrest, Hodges was booked into the Bullitt County Detention Center, where he remains held on a $100,000 full cash bond.
He is expected to appear in court for arraignment on November 3, where prosecutors from the Bullitt County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office will formally present the charges.
The Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office thanked the LMPD Fugitive Unit for its assistance, calling the case “a testament to what can be accomplished when agencies work together to take dangerous predators off the streets.”
As Kentucky authorities continue to expand investigations into human trafficking and drug crimes, officials urge community members to report any suspicious activity involving potential victims.
