Wisconsin’s Most Wanted: Fugitive Teron Bones Still on the Run After Armed Traffic Stop Turned Chase

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — Authorities are searching for 23-year-old Teron Bones, who has been on the run since June after fleeing a Milwaukee traffic stop that uncovered two illegal firearms, a large amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Officials warn that Bones is considered armed and dangerous.

According to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Milwaukee police initially stopped an SUV for expired license plates, but the situation quickly escalated when officers smelled marijuana and noticed suspicious behavior from the driver — later identified as Bones.

Chase Began After Police Found Illegal Weapons

“The longer he’s on the run, the greater the danger to the community,” said a U.S. Marshal involved in the case.

When officers asked Bones and two passengers to exit the vehicle, he allegedly bolted on foot. A brief chase ensued, but Bones managed to escape. Inside the SUV, investigators discovered a digital scale, a large quantity of marijuana, and two pistols equipped with machine gun conversion devices — making them fully automatic.

“No person is authorized to possess a fully automatic firearm,” the Marshal added, emphasizing the threat posed by the modified weapons.

Bones Has Long Criminal History

Court records show Bones’ criminal background stretches back to 2016, with prior arrests for stolen vehicles, narcotics possession, and weapons offenses.
He was formally charged in connection with the June incident, but authorities say he has since vanished and is likely moving between Milwaukee and surrounding counties.

Bones is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with tattoos including a clock and rose on his right arm and baby blocks spelling “Teron Jr.” on his left arm. He is known to sometimes use the last name “Jones.”

U.S. Marshals Urge Public Help

Law enforcement agencies are urging residents to report any information about Bones’ whereabouts.

“I would urge him to turn himself in so he can begin to put this matter behind him,” the Marshal said.

Anyone with tips is encouraged to contact the U.S. Marshals tip line at (414) 297-3707. Callers can remain anonymous, and a reward may be available for information leading to his arrest.
