Woman Reports Possible Sexual Assault After Attending Kentucky Lake ‘Glow Party’

KUTTAWA, KENTUCKY — The Kentucky State Police (KSP) have opened an investigation after a woman reported being sexually assaulted following a glow party at Kentucky Lake in the Smith Bay area.
According to police, troopers received reports that a sexual assault occurred on the night of August 30. The following day, the woman was found unconscious along the bank of Kentucky Lake.
Victim’s Account and Injuries
Authorities said the woman later told investigators she had attended the glow party before losing consciousness. When she regained awareness, she initially refused medical treatment. However, later that night, she went to a nearby hospital where medical staff determined she had injuries consistent with sexual assault.
Police confirmed the timeline in a news release issued on September 12 at 8 a.m., stating that the assault is believed to have taken place during or after the party.
