Late-Night Chaos in Downtown Lexington: Two Hospitalized After Stabbing Near West Main and Upper Streets, Police Say
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY — Police are investigating a late-night stabbing that left two people hospitalized in downtown Lexington on Friday night, according to authorities.
Officers responded around 11:20 p.m. to reports of a disturbance involving a weapon near the intersection of West Main Street and Upper Street, an area lined with bars and restaurants popular with the weekend crowd.
Two People Taken to Hospital, Third Sustains Minor Injuries
When officers arrived, they discovered multiple individuals suffering from injuries sustained during an apparent fight that turned violent.
Police said two victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds, while a third person received minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Authorities did not release the victims’ names or details on what may have led to the altercation.
No Suspects in Custody as Investigation Continues
As of Saturday, no arrests have been made, and investigators say they have no suspect description to release. Detectives with the Lexington Police Department are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and interviewing witnesses who may have seen the confrontation unfold.
