Marshall County Man Arrested After Six-Month Child Pornography Investigation
GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. — A Marshall County man has been arrested following a six-month investigation into child pornography downloads that spanned multiple jurisdictions in Kentucky and Tennessee, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigation Began in March
Authorities said the case began in March 2025, when deputies were alerted to suspicious child pornography downloads in Graves County. Detectives executed several search warrants, which eventually identified Michael Cole, 20, as a suspect.
Cole was reportedly living at various times in Graves County, Marshall County, and northwest Tennessee during the investigation.
Arrest and Charges
On the morning of September 18, deputies located Cole and took him into custody. Investigators said they found child pornography on his electronic device at the time of the arrest.
Officials also accused Cole of uploading images to Snapchat in an attempt to sell them.
Cole now faces two counts of:
- Distribution of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under 12
- Possession of matter portraying the sexual performance by a minor under 12
He has been transported to an out-of-county detention center.
Ongoing Case
Authorities say the case remains under investigation and more charges could follow. Officials also urged parents to monitor children’s online activity and report suspicious behavior to law enforcement.
