Police Arrest Suspect in One of Two Wisconsin Rapids Homicides; Victims Identified

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WISCONSIN — Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with one of two homicides that occurred early Friday in Wisconsin Rapids, marking a grim day for the central Wisconsin community.

Authorities confirmed that Antoni Quinones, 34, and Randall Harris Sr., 56, both died from severe injuries sustained in separate incidents on October 31. Investigators have since determined the two deaths are not connected and appear to be isolated events.

Son Arrested in Father’s Death on 11th Street South

Officers were called to the 500 block of 11th Street South early Friday morning, where they discovered Randall Harris Sr. suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later that day, police arrested Randall Harris Jr., 34, in connection with his father’s death. He was booked into the Wood County Jail, where he remains in custody pending formal charges.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department confirmed that the case is being handled as a domestic-related homicide and that detectives are continuing to gather evidence and witness statements.

Second Victim Identified as 34-Year-Old Antoni Quinones

Around the same time, officers responded to a separate call involving Antoni Quinones, who was found injured at a home on 21st Avenue South. He was transported to Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators have not announced any arrests related to Quinones’ death but emphasized that this case is independent of the Harris investigation.

Autopsies for both victims are scheduled for November 3 in Madison, according to police.

Community on Alert but Police Say No Ongoing Threat

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is working alongside the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Wisconsin Crime Laboratory to process both crime scenes.

Authorities have reassured residents that there is no ongoing threat to the public, as both incidents were contained and unrelated.
